DR ALWYN RAPATSA
General Practitioner and Practice Principal
My name is Phutiane Alwyn Rapatsa. I qualified as a medical practitioner in 2002 from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. After that I enrolled for postgraduate studies in Family Medicine (University of Pretoria) and Primary Health Care (University College London), while working as a clinician and lecturer in South Africa until 2013, when I decided to move to Roma. I was awarded the Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 2015. As a GP, I am able to help patients with problems on all aspects of medicine with the support of other members of the primary health care team.

Di has worked for Maranoa Medical as the Practice Manager for 14 years. Originally brought up on the land, she then lived in Adelaide before returning to Roma. As a practice manager her endeavour is to encourage doctors to come to our town and provide our patients with a high level of care.

After completing her studies on the Gold Coast and spending time working in Mount Isa, Nicole joined our team at the beginning of 2021. Having grown up in Beaudesert Nicole understands how the constraints rural work can impact healthy lifestyle choices and self management of chronic diseases. She will tailor dietary recommendations to your lifestyle, family and work commitments. Nicole has particular interest in diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and all aspects of chronic disease however, can provide dietary information for all concerns.
